Sorry, we are no longer accepting applications.

We are excited to announce we have 45 applicants for 2019. ChaTech is proud to have a robust scholarship program to support our strategic goal to invest in the region’s technology talent. This scholarship program is open to students enrolled in an information technology major, and awards may range from $1,000 to $2,500. This year ChaTech is awarding a total of $22,500 in scholarships, thank you to Volkswagen Chattanooga’s contribution. Scholars will be awarded at the June Connect event on June 12 at Volkswagen Chattanooga.

ChaTech Scholars are outstanding students selected by the Scholarship Committee. To qualify, students must be pursuing an information technology degree, maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, and submit an essay as outlined in the application. In 2019, students from these schools are eligible to apply:

ChaTech offers member organizations the opportunity to engage the future of Chattanooga’s technology talent through a free internship portal. Organizations can list their internship opportunities and get a glimpse into the next generation of tech professionals by browsing the applicant board. College students (over the age of 18) are welcome to submit their resumes as they seek hands-on experience.

Connect with IT Professionals

ChaTech cares about the future generation of IT professionals and ChaTech Scholars’ success as they move from college to work. Because of this, we are offering all scholarship recipients a chance for interview training and learn how to pass the technical test portion of the interview, which will be facilitated by IT professionals experienced in technical interviews. It is free and will include an opportunity to practice interviewing skills in an environment similar to an actual interview. This is a great chance to become familiar with questions, formats, and professional etiquette.

Before I came to the event last night, I was fairly confident that I could do fairly well at an interview. However, after hearing Mr. Yamada and Mr. Campbell share their expertise, I realized I have so much to learn and practice. They shared passionately and gave their time generously to ensure that I had the tools I need to succeed. I am really thankful they spent the time and gave the effort, and I have realized I would NOT have been fully prepared for an interview without their help. - Madysen Williams, 2018 Chatech Scholar recipient.
