Understand information risk by adopting Risk Management Framework using qualitative and quantitative analysis formulas.
Collaborate with business units to determine acceptable risk:
Define asset(s) needed to preform daily tasks;
Assign a value to the asset;
Identify threats and analyze threat and cost impacts;
Decide appropriate safeguards and countermeasures (management, operational and technical)
- Repeat annually and whenever changes are made.

As founder of consulting firms including HCC (1984), Cottonwood (1990) and eNtegrity Solutions, now InfoSec Alliance (2004), he has consulted with global fortune companies such as FedEx, HCA NFL, United Technologies as well as many smaller organizations.
As an entrepreneur he as a good understanding of the limited budget and resources facing small medium business owners and feels his best work today is accomplished in the small medium enterprise (although there have been several recent trips to India for a Fortune 50).
He is a CISSP (107408) in good standing with ISC2.
