The College of Engineering and Computer Science holds a Career Fair twice a year, the first Wednesday of March and November, within the Engineering, Math and Computer Science Building (EMCS). This event was started at the request of the students within the college. Having the event schedule the same time every year allow you to pre-plan and be present at all the events.
This event gives you access to the students within the halls of the building in which they attend classes. In addition, with many of our future engineers, computer science, construction management and engineering management students taking their first two years at a tech school or 2 year college, we invite those students to the event also. Alumni are also invited, providing companies with a good selection of potential interns, coops, and employees.
Department offices are also in the EMCS, many of the department faculty are available during the event and welcome the networking opportunities.
The event starts at 10am with setup starting at 8:45 am. Tables are provided with your company name and degrees you are interested to talk to posted above your table. Interview rooms are available for your use if you would like. Power is available to many of the table locations. Parking and wi-fi access is also available. Cost is$150 per table, maximum of 2 tables.
The college welcomes partnering companies to help with the event through sponsoring parts of the event. Sponsorship opportunities include lunch, snacks, marketing, parking, etc for an event.
Your participation gives students the opportunity to talk with companies about the job market, and gain knowledge in making job decisions. This is a valuable event for the students and staff at the college, and we hope a valuable opportunity for your company also.
