The UTC Mosaic Program is a comprehensive support program for degree-seeking UTC students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. It is a highly sought-after program with a national reputation and a competitive admission process.
Unfortunately, there are several stigmas surrounding individuals on the Autism Spectrum that have led to competent, capable graduates missing out on employment opportunities. Likewise, several companies and organizations miss out on the diverse assets that people with Autism Spectrum Disorders bring to an employment environment.
In order to provide these students a specific engagement with potential recruiters, we have developed a Reverse Career Fair. The date and time for the 4th Annual Mosaic Reverse Career Fair is Wednesday, March 28 from 2-4 p.m in the University Center Tennessee Room.
The format of the Reverse Career Fair is similar to a traditional recruiting event. The difference being that the opportunity to explore and visit the exhibitions is afforded to you (as a potential employer) while Mosaic students present their strengths and benefits as a contributing employee. All attendees will be offered a descriptive map to inform you about the range of presentations in the room. Mosaic’s professional staff will also be present and able to answer any questions you may have.
If you have any questions about the Reverse Career Fair or want to learn more about employing individuals with ASD, please email Jaime Butler at Jaime-butler@utc.edu or via phone at 423-425-4006.
