ChaTech to Award 21 IT College Students with Record-Breaking Scholarship Amount

Chattanooga Technology Council (ChaTech) is excited to announce 45 applications were submitted for 2019 ChaTech Scholarship Awards, and 21 college students have been selected to receive $1,000 to $1,500 in scholarships. Thanks to a generous grant by Volkswagen Chattanooga, individual donations and support from the 2018 CxO Auction and a contribution from Chattanooga’s DevOpsDay conference, ChaTech will award total of $22,500 in scholarships. The scholarship recipients will be honored at the June Connect event on June 12 at Howard High School.

ChaTech Scholars are outstanding students selected by the Scholarship Committee. To qualify, students must be pursuing an information technology degree, maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, and submit an essay as outlined in the application. Students from these schools are eligible to apply:

ChaTech is proud to have a robust scholarship program to support strategic goals to invest in the region’s technology talent. “ChaTech works to create a vibrant, diverse and connected technology ecosystem.
